Selon la World Nuclear Association, la demande mondiale d’uranium va quasiment tripler d’ici à 2040. Mais les principaux pays qui abritent cette ressource, en Asie centrale ou en Afrique, avaient levé le pied à la suite de la baisse du cours de l’uranium provoquée par l’accident de Fukushima (2011). Aujourd’hui, tous ne sont pas en mesure de répondre aux nouveaux besoins de productions. D’autres pays pourraient toutefois émerger et l’investissement dans des procédés moins gourmands en uranium sera également nécessaire. Cet article résume les résultats du récent rapport…
