Le ministre togolais des Affaires étrangères Robert Dussey a évoqué la possibilité pour son pays de rejoindre l'Alliance des États du Sahel (AES), lors d'un entretien, le 16 janvier 2025. Cette déclaration suscite des interrogations sur les motivations qui pourraient pousser le Togo à envisager une telle adhésion. En effet, ne s'agit-il pas davantage d'une déclaration destinée à frapper les esprits que d'une orientation réaliste ?
