PARIS  - Nicolas Sarkozy, le candidat de l'UMP, a été élu dimanche président de la République française pour cinq ans avec le score sans appel de 53 pour cent à 53,2 pour cent des voix, selon les estimations des instituts de sondage TNS-Sofres, Ipsos, Ifop et CSA à 20h. Il succède à Jacques Chirac et assumera ses fonctions le 16 mai.
