Nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan and guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville, along with guided-missile destroyers USS Gridley and USS Howard, are scheduled to arrive in San Diego on Wednesday. They carried more than 5,000 sailors during a five-month deployment to the Western Pacific.

The ships are part of the U.S. Navy’s Carrier Strike Group 7. Two more ships in the group are expected to return to San Diego next month — guided- missile destroyer USS Decatur and guided-missile frigate USS Thach.
