The Dadaab Camp is the biggest refugee camp in the world, which is presently home for 275,000 Somali refugees although its capacity is for only 90,000 people.

The EU said in a statement from Brussels that out of these funds managed by the Eu ropean Commission Humanitarian Office (ECHO), 4 million euros are meant for financing programmes at the Dadaab refugee camp that continues to record new arrivals after the resumption of fighting in Somalia between rebel groups and government forces. The funds will be for food, primary health care, water and sanitation, according to the statement.
