Washington - Les Etats-Unis ont officiellement protesté contre le lancement par la Chine d'un missile balistique de moyenne portée, qui a frappé un satellite spatial. La chaîne CNN annonce que le Canada et l'Australie eux aussi ont condamné ce test. "Nous exprimons notre préoccupation et nous en avons déjà fait part (à la Chine)", a déclaré le porte-parole de la Maison-Blanche, Tony Snow.
