Décès du père Emmett Johns

Mieux connu sous le nom de Pops, le père Johns est décédé le 13 janvier 2018, à l’âge de 89 ans. D’origine irlandaise, «Pops» sillonnait les rues de Montréal dans sa roulotte la nuit, été comme hiver, pour venir en aide aux jeunes itinérants en leur offrant café et nourriture, et aussi beaucoup d’amitié. Il avait fondé l’organisme «Dans la rue», en 1988, qui poursuit son aujourd’hui son œuvre.
