Chuck Heads the Bailout Team

By Mony

Ever heard of Chuck ? Young Chuck moved to Texas and bought a donkey from a farmer for $100. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day. The next day the farmer drove up and said, ʽSorry son, but I have some bad news, the donkey died.ʼ
Chuck replied, ʽWell, then just give me my money back.ʼ The farmer said, ʽCanʼt do that. I went and spent it already.ʼ Chuck said, ʽOk, then, just bring me the dead donkey.ʼ The farmer asked, ʽWhat ya gonna do with him?ʼ Chuck said, ʽIʼm going to raffle him off.ʼ The farmer said, ʽYou canʼt raffle off a dead donkey!ʼ Chuck said, ʽSure I can, watch me. I just wonʼt tell anybody heʼs dead.ʼ A month later, the farmer met up with Chuck and asked, ʽWhat happened with that dead donkey?ʼ Chuck said, ʽI raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made $998.ʼ The farmer said, ʽDidnʼt anyone complain?ʼ Chuck said, ʽJust the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars back.ʼ Chuck now leads the U.S. bank bailout team.
