Reporters sans frontières a rendu public, mercredi 19 mars 2008, un rapport complet sur la situation des journalistes irakiens contraints à l’exil cinq ans après le début de la guerre en Irak, en mars 2003. La majorité d’entre eux se sont réfugiés en Jordanie ou en Syrie après avoir échappé à des tentatives d’assassinats ou fait l’objet de menaces. Ils sont ainsi des centaines à tenter de retrouver une vie normale à Amman, Damas ou dans les grandes villes d’Europe ou d’Amérique du Nord.
