Victor Teboul is a writer and the founding editor of Tolerance.ca ®, The Tolerance Webzine. Dr. Teboul is the author of several books and numerous articles. He was a member of the Jury of Canada’s 2008 Governor General’s Literary Awards, for non-fiction.

Dr. Teboul has also written and hosted several radio series broadcast on Radio-Canada's cultural network. Dr. Teboul has taught literature at a college, in Quebec, Canada, and history at l'Université du Québec à Montréal. He was a member of the Conseil supérieur de l'éducation and the Quebec Press Council.

Victor Teboul holds several diplomas and a Ph.D. from Université de Montréal. 

He is the president of Tolerance.ca® Inc which publishes the Tolerance.ca® Webzine.

Christian Agbobli

Ph.D., Professor, Université du Québec à Montréal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Christian Agbobli holds a Ph.D. in communication. He is Professor of international and intercultural communication at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Canada. Associated with the Unesco-Bell Chair in communication and international development, Christian Agbobli is co-founder and a member of UQAM’s Research Group on International and Intercultural Communication (URGIIC). His research is targeted towards international communication and development as well as toward the role of the media in intercultural relationships. As a member of Tolerance.ca, Dr Agbobli is responsible for partnerships with universities and for student participation. 


Neil Caplan

Ph.D., London School of Economics and Political Science

An internationally respected researcher and writer, Neil Caplan currently holds an adjunct position in the History Department of Concordia University, and is Scholar-in-Residence at Vanier College, both in Montreal. His degrees include an MA in Canadian Studies from Carleton University, Ottawa, and a PhD in Politics from London School of Economics & Political Science (University of London). Prior to his retirement he taught for 35 years in the Humanities Department of Vanier College, Montréal, Canada, for many years serving also as coordinator of the Department and of the Jewish Studies Programme. An internationally recognized historian of the Arab-Israeli conflict, Dr Caplan has published numerous articles and seven books, including Futile Diplomacy, a 4-volume documentary history of negotiations, 1913-1956 (London 1983, 1986, 1997), and (with Laurie Z. Eisenberg) Negotiating Arab-Israeli Peace: Patterns, Problems, Possibilities (Indiana, 1998; revised edition forthcoming 2009). His latest work is The Israel-Palestine Conflict: Contested Histories (forthcoming, Wiley-Blackwells) -- a book-length expansion of ideas outlined in his tolerance.ca essay, ''Israelis and Palestinians: Victims versus Victims''. As a member of Tolerance.ca, Dr. Caplan is responsible for partnerships in the sector of intercultural relations.


Georges Dussault

M.Sc. Political Science, Université de Montréal

Georges Dussault is an intercultural relations consultant who has worked in the field of financial and tax planning since the early 1990s for a firm unaffiliated with the major financial institutions. He is presently a member of the electoral college of the Chambre de la sécurité financière. Mr. Dussault is particularly interested in raising awareness within the business community toward cultural diversity. Mr Dussault is a member of Tolerance.ca.


Mireille Galanti

M.A., History, specialization in art history, Université de Montréal

Mireille Galanti has taught at Vanier College in Montreal. Her courses formed part of the Humanities program and their content took into account the specific ethnic and cultural diversity of Vanier College. A native of Alexandria, Egypt, Mireille Galanti is particularly interested in the values of tolerance and open-mindedness that characterized Alexandria's cosmopolitan society in the first part of the 20th century. As a member of Tolerance.ca, Ms Galanti is responsible for organizing partnerships with public libraries at the municipal, national and international level.


Osée Kamga

Ph.D. (UQAM), University of Sudbury, Canada

Dr. Osée Kamga is a professor at the Département de journalisme et relations publiques of the University of Sudbury and a research associate at the Laboratoire des média audiovisuels pour l’étude des cultures et sociétés (LAMACS) of the University of Ottawa (Canada). His fields of interest cover social and media communications, matters relating to tolerance, and international relations. He is the author of the essay Et si le développement nous trompait. Le modèle ivoirien en point de mire. As a fiction writer, Dr Osée Kamga has published Le licencié (2006), La tourterelle noire (2004) and Jacques le narrateur (2000). Dr Kamga is a member of Tolerance.ca. He is responsible for establishing partnerships with francophone institutions and universities of Northern Ontario.  


François La Bissonnière

B.A., Literature, Université du Québec à Montréal

François La Bissonnière teaches Quebec and French literature at the Collège de Saint-Laurent, in Montreal, in a social and educational environment recognized for its ethnic and cultural diversity. Mr. La Bissonnière has also taught French as a Second Language to Indochinese students. He is a theatre lover and has conducted theatre workshops aimed at the staff of a seniors' residential centre. Mr La Bissonnière is a member of Tolerance.ca.


Louise Labissonnière

M.Sc., Community Health, Université de Montréal

Louise Labissonnière is a consultant in the field of health and social services. Louise Labissonnière has several years of experience in management within the Quebec health and social services sector. Among her interests are the international cooperation and the organization of health services in multicultural neighbourhoods. She has taught at Université de Montréal and Université du Québec à Hull.  As a member of Tolerance.ca, Louise Labissonnière acts as an adviser, responsible for planning and special events.


Bjarne Melkevik

Professor, Law Faculty, Université Laval, Québec

Bjarne Melkevik, L.L.D. Paris II, professor at the Faculty of Law, University Laval (Quebec), is a well-known author in legal philosophy, legal epistemology and legal methodology. His latest published books include “Horizons of legal philosophy” (1998 and 2004), “Reflections on legal philosophy” (2000), “Rawls or Habermas? A question of legal philosophy” and “Juridical-philosophical considerations” (2005). In the realm of Tolerance he has recently published the book “Tolerance and legal modernity” (2006). Dr. Bjarne Melkevik is a member of Tolerance.ca


Caroline Potvin

B. Pharm., M. Sc. Hospital Pharmacy, Université de Montréal, Québec, Canada

Caroline Potvin is a pharmacist with a Master’s degree in hospital pharmacy. After working as a hospital pharmacist, she has moved on to the pharmaceutical industry where she worked both in Medical Information and Health Economics. She is also the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Pharmacists Without Borders Canada (also known as Pharmaciens Sans Frontières Canada, or PSF-Canada) and has a keen interest for international cooperation. As a member of Tolerance.ca, Ms Potvin is responsible for etablishing partnerships in the field of international development.
