On 9 July, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve tabled a bill in cabinet that is designed to strengthen anti-terrorism provisions. It contains three articles that could prejudice freedom of information and damage news organizations. The bill has aroused broad criticism, both of its form and its substance.
